a LITTLE ABOUT KIRA  
 
 
 

Kira Brombacher is an actor, dancer, producer, choreographer, and writer based in New York City and Washington, D.C. She has a BFA in Acting for Film, Stage and Television from LIU-Brooklyn and The New Group from the graduating class of 2024.

As an actor on screen, Kira has been featured in the mocumentary shorts, Snooks and in several short films.

On stage, she has portrayed several roles including originating the role of Madame Morbid in the play Murder! At the Heineken Estate produced by Kitchen Sink Theatre Company and as Joan in Sarah Ruhl’s Melancholy Play. She has also been featured in The Theater Company’s production of The Admiral Creighton as Ensemble and as Aide in My Apology which was a part of the New Group’s Climate Play Festival. 

Kira’s focus in producing has been on the literary development of new film/television and social media/merchandising. . She has also worked with the New Group’s literary department under the direction of Associate Artistic Director Ian Morgan in which she worked on the production of new works. 

As a dancer, Kira has trained pre-professionally for 14 years in the styles of Vaganova Ballet, Pointe, Character, Modern, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, and Flamenco. She most recently was a featured dancer in Daniel Oliver Lee’s upcoming short film and the character Lois in A Chorus Line.

Kira’s choreography is primarily contemporary street style with hip-hop influences. She has choreographed several works including the solo Drowning and various short pieces showcased in a variety of venues. She has also choreographed for musical theatre including for West Side Story and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Kira has been professionally trained in choreography under the guidance of Candra Eglin, Ann McGinnis, and Shelley Siller and continues to choreograph.
